THE FUN OF IT

The Glen Echo Folkdancers (formerly Foggy Bottom Folkdancers) started
in 1983 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Foggy Bottom. The church required
substantial repairs and we had to move, eventually landing up at the
Church of the Redeemer. Since our move, the Glen Echo Folkdancers has
grown a bit, but we still maintain a very welcoming atmosphere, lots
of great music and dancing, occasional parties (sometimes with live
music), and, most importantly, great people to share an evening with.
Plan to have a wonderful time, learn some dances, listen to some wild
music, and meet some new friends. No partner is necessary. No skill
is needed. Dress comfortably. Wear soft-soled shoes, if possible. Smile. If you would like to be added to our email list and receive notices
of upcoming events, please email Jamie. For more folkdancing in the DC area, go to the links page.
